What kind of applications
You want to enrich your own web application with some communication facilities ? You want to develop your own application focused on your personal or business interests and take benefit of communication means developped by others ?
Then, you can build such an application as a mashup between your own business logic and the services offered by the Hybrid Communication plateform. This current http://www.communication-mashups.com site provides you all the information to do so.
In the current release the Hybrid Communication API gives you access to "Communication Hyperlinks" resources.
Communication hyperlink principle
A Communication Hyperlink is a new concept that allows you to be joined the way you want.
To experiment with the communication hyperlink concept you can join the http://www.dundal.com web site where you can create a free account and test the web communication services.
Communication Hyperlinks are built on the following principles:
- a communication hyperlink allows the "owner" of this hyperlink to be joined the way he wants,
- the "owner" of the communication hyperlink publishes his hyperlinks wherever he wants over the web: in blog pages, on web sites, on social networks pages, in any document available or exchanged over the web, ... With such communication hyperlinks, the personal details of the owner (phone numbers, email addresses, ...) are never visible to communication hyperlinks' "consumers".
- the owner of a communication hyperlink always keeps control over the published hyperlinks: he may create, invalidate, delete communication hyperlinks as he wants. Moreover he is able to change the communication modality associated to the communication hyperlink as he desires.
- the communication hyperlink consumer is able to join the owner of this hyperlink without any installation nor any account creation.
- Published hyperlinks may have different representations called "renderer". You can change this renderer whenever you want.
- The communication is based on your usage: when a consumer clicks a communication hyperlink, the owner is notified of the object of the call: the "notification message" corresponds to the description associated to the hyperlink.
- the modality of the communication associated to a communication hyperlink at a given time is named the "communication resource". You can see in Communication Enabler the different available resources.
To experiment with the communication hyperlink concept you can join the http://www.dundal.com web site that allows you to be a user of the web communication service associated to this concept.
